Disney is my childhood. And I think I will never be able to grow out of it. It is not just cartoon anymore. Disney brings to all ages the values of life; that life is not just about romance. It isn't just about finding a happy ending. It is about how you grow up and fight for your happy ending.
Disney is built upon love. My childhood was built with love.
If you asked me for my favourite movie, it would be The Lion King. Kinship, friendship and romance, personified by the life of a growing lion who was made to be king. What else could you ask for?
I remember watching it every other weekend with my family. How it was the first tape my parents bought me. How my mum patiently explained to me what Simba was going through and what he was doing. How I know the lyrics to the songs without even looking them out. How I awww at Simba and Nala. How I laughed at Timon and Pumba. How I cringed at Muffsa's death. How disgusted I was with Scar.
Next time, when I have a child (or children), I'll definitely show them The Lion King and hope that they will get the same warm, fuzzy feeling; hope that they will grow up with a similarly strong and happy memory.
And guess what guys, there's gonna be a Toy Story 4 in 2015!
:D
